The forest consists predominantly of a mixed stand of Scots pine and Norway spruce, with individual larch trees. The woodland appears not to have undergone any significant harvesting for an extended period; the last major timber harvesting is estimated to have taken place approximately 55 years ago.
Location
The lower section of the property is accessible via a forest road and is located only around 400 metres from Tuff Alm. The terrain initially rises gently, followed by a steeper central section, before opening into a largely level area in the upper part. From there, the property extends towards the imposing Sciliar massif, between the Tschurtschentaler access point at the left base of the Sciliar and the Wolf Gorge (Wolfsschlucht).
Additional access is provided by a new forest road constructed last year, leading from Tuff Alm up from the south-western side to just below the upper plateau. This provides particularly convenient access to the upper section of the property.
